Political connection, ownership concentration, and corporate social responsibility disclosure quality (CSRD): empirical evidence from Jordan

One of the main goals this study is to investigate whether politically connected firms have a different tendency toward disclosing CSR information compared those without political connections. Another purpose research add existing literature by looking into impact connections in moderating relationship between ownership concentration and CSRD. We collect data on activities undertaken group 94 non-financial Jordanian companies listed Amman Stock Exchange using content analysis approach. From 2010 2019, 940 yearly reports were evaluated for study. Also, hypotheses are tested Ordinary Least Squares regression (OLS). In Jordan, more likely disclose high-quality CSRD than unconnected companies. Furthermore, findings revealed that be negatively impacted concentration. However, ties can moderate disclosure practice included our sample.
